With a solid academic background in Aeronautical Engineering from the University "La Sapienza" of Rome and over 30 years of technical and managerial experience in the aerospace, railway, and transport safety sectors, Mauro Pacella is a recognized figure in the field of advanced technical training and risk assessment.
He is currently Technical Coordinator at Assoferr, consultant for GATX Rail Europe, auditor for VPI European Rail Service, and member of scientific and impartiality committees in the fields of certification and safety. He has gained extensive experience in rail fleet maintenance, complex systems design, and in the implementation of European safety and quality regulations, also serving as a Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015.
In parallel, he has been deeply engaged in teaching and training, working with numerous technical institutes and academies in Italy and abroad, passionately sharing his expertise on aeronautical materials, rolling stock maintenance, risk analysis, and RID/ADR regulations.
A multilingual professional with excellent command of English and a vast network of technical and scientific affiliations (CIFI, AIDAA, AIPnD, AIM, IIS, STASA), his contribution brings great value to any educational or operational context in the transport sector.
